TYNAN has created a six-piece EP for Wakaan, due out on February 22nd. Having won Reddit’s trap remix of 2018 and was hotly tipped as an artist to watch in 2019, he unveils the darkly captivating ‘Songs for Ghosts to Haunt To.’
‘Between the Devil and the Sea’ will sweep you up instantly in its thickly atmospheric introduction before flooring with an entirely unique, meandering bassline. A collaboration with Roxas brings us ‘Bye,’ complete with jagged, dominating rhythms and warped samples. Another solo effort takes the form of ‘Ing.’ Intense builds and cavernous drops leave you hanging on for more, and prepares for TYNAN and Shanghai Doom’s creeping ‘Flatline.’
Fellow talents sfam join for ‘Fragile,’ which will cause havoc on any darkened dancefloor with its mechanical precision. Finally TYNAN unleashes ‘Pluto,’ the Black Cat,’ clawing out screeching riffs and spikey drum patterns in homage to its title.
Commenting on the EP, TYNAN says: "This might be my favorite EP I’ve made. On this one, I tried to go beyond my limits, even more so than I usually do. The end result is a loud, chaotic, beautiful mess that I can’t wait to share with the world.”
