UK born producer and DJ Conrank is without a doubt one of bass music’s most heavy-hitters. Playing across the globe for a number of years and Based between Los Angeles, Shanghai and London, his inimitable fusion of Dubstep, DnB and Grime comes after an early start as a beat-boxer.
Having released across numerous labels, most notably Bassrush and Circus Records, he now finds himself on Liquid Stranger’s WAKAAN, with the ‘White Noise Generation’ EP landing on April 10th.
Spread across five diverse tracks, in Conrank’s own words, this EP “represents a journey through my music career - so many influences, experiences and awesome people. It was a chance to put together a release that really put everything I have out on the table for everyone to see: no holds barred, no filters, no BS… and in the process work with some awesome producers and friends from across the scene.”
Collaborating with fellow British artist Killa Kela on the snarling ‘Bulletproof,’ Conrank kick-starts the release with sheer drops and thunderous bass kicks. Of The Trees joins for ‘We’re Mucky,’ which packs a punch via sharp-tonged bars, snaking melodies and floor shaking builds. Conrank enlists Slave for ‘Bring It,’ complete with patterns of bleeps and full-throttle drums, and Drezza for the atmospheric ‘Look Away’ – guaranteed to cause dancefloor carnage with low-throbbing bass and floating vocals.
Last but certainly not least is ‘On Set’ with Gray Area, a suitably explosive closer to this unmissable EP; designed to leave you craving more.
Conrank goes on to add: “When I discovered how to manipulate white noise in production it was like someone turned the light on, it was a huge turning point in the way I produced music and I fell in love with the sound. Welcome to the White Noise Generation."

I can't stop listening to this album. It's so good. So many different amazing songs. Yheti can turn such small amounts of time into massive complex journeys. Signals from above grew on me over time a great deal and I think that is always a special and mysterious thing. voidhaven

These five tracks tell a lucid story with tones and textures, AND nearly demand you move your body during each piece.
This EP calls between critical nodes of musical DNA that link together many of my favorite parts of the electronic scene.
Good for a party with that edgy energy, a firespin, or night drive! David Rees
