about
Refusing to restrain himself to the confines of any one single genre, Sully steps out of his comfort zone with his next WAKAAN release, “Deeper,” featuring han.irl. First introducing a rousing disposition intertwined with the sirenic vocals of han.irl, Sully steadily increases the pace, adding a catchy drum pattern into a melodic precipitation of saturated synthesizers and riveting underlying basslines. With a short drum and bass segment and intoxicating drop winding the single to a close with an emphasizing juxtaposition, “Deeper” is only the beginning of Sully’s next chapter.
With a consistent output of reputable releases and captivating live performances, Sully is currently gearing up for anticipated appearances at a number of large scale festivals this summer, including Bang Bang, Global Dance Festival, Electric Zoo, and more. As the compelling producer continues to expand his contrastive discography, you can expect his sound to appeal to a wider net of audiences across the board.
Quote: ‘Deeper’ has been an ongoing project for about four years now and, to this day, is still my favorite track I’ve ever worked on. It’s gone through so many revisions over the years and there were many times when I felt like I lost sight of what the end result should sound like. But I always knew this song was special to me and I couldn’t be happier that I saw it through.
‘Deeper’ showcases what the future sounds like from the Sully project - while I’ll always be passionate for experimental sound design and unique rhythms - I have always had a DEEPER passion for melody and songwriting. I couldn’t be more excited to start this new chapter of my musical journey with the community and I think ‘Deeper’ is the perfect segue into this new world.

These five tracks tell a lucid story with tones and textures, AND nearly demand you move your body during each piece.
This EP calls between critical nodes of musical DNA that link together many of my favorite parts of the electronic scene.
Good for a party with that edgy energy, a firespin, or night drive! David Rees
