about
Emerging from Jackson, Mississippi with a personality larger than an eighteen wheeler dump truck, comes TVBOO, pronounced “taboo.” Mitch Draper, known as TVBOO, is quickly becoming one of the rising stars in the bass scene. His ability to weave distorted sounds through incredibly unique basslines, accompanied by infamous vocal samples, are just a few of the elements that make TVBOO, TVBOO. His shows are curated with high energy sets that are guaranteed to have the crowd moving on their feet from start to finish.
His growing success is undeniable, as seen from his co-headlining tour with DMVU, the “Eat My Sass” Tour. Accompanied by the success of his releases “Wook Worm,” “Skrawberries,” “Got Dat” and “Eat My Sass,” and his collaboration resume with some of the biggest artists in the bass scene, TVBOO will continue to make Category 5 hurricane surge sized waves in the bass music world.
If you only follow TVBOO for his growing discography, you are depriving yourself of understanding the complete TVBOO experience. Like a shot of the strongest espresso you can find, Mitch’s podcast, “TVLKS with TVBOO,” is a straight punch of hilarity, chaos, mild takes and entertaining guests all strung together with his outspoken southern personality. Seasons have featured high-caliber guests such as Subtronics, Dirt Monkey, Boogie T, and more. “TVLKS with TVBOO” just kicked off, full of more outrageous episodes from the bass comedian. If podcasts aren’t your thing, TVBOO also has a video series titled “TVBOO TVLKS,” where you can expect the same amount of sixpack inducing laughs and ridiculousness.
TVBOO’s rising popularity as an electronic music producer and comedy career melt together to show that he can really do it all. His “don’t take life so seriously” attitude layered with his incredible sense of humor will no doubt keep opening all the doors of success in his path.
Adopted from Russia and raised in DC, 21 year old CHOMPPA has cemented himself as a mainstay in the bass scene with his debut bone-rattling EP 'Flabbergast' out on ZedsDead's imprint, Deadbeats. Crafted around high end melodic sound design and goosebump inducing basslines, CHOMPPA has been able to develop his own sound in asea of saturation. This will be CHOMPPA’s first release with WAKAAN.
“In all honesty, I just wrote a drop that I thought sounded solid. The meaning of the track came from a sample that was in the first demo, which Mitch then took inspiration from and recorded some vocals that turned into the main idea of the tune. It was great bouncing ideas back and forth and seeing his crazy quick workflow made the whole process a lot more enjoyable. Our sounds merged well together, so there wasn’t much to discuss as far as how the track would sound.” - CHOMPPA

I don't need the members of any community discarded and body othered as a bitch, thanks of the trees for helping me realize there's no point in bass music that I need to hear someone slip the word into my eardrum. cya. BeatsaNdBuds
I can't stop listening to this album. It's so good. So many different amazing songs. Yheti can turn such small amounts of time into massive complex journeys. Signals from above grew on me over time a great deal and I think that is always a special and mysterious thing. voidhaven
This EP was my introduction to both Truth and DDD, and also the release that sparked my deep interest for the oldschool sound of dubstep. S/o to The Dub Rebellion for their upload of "Devils Game" - been a huge fan of Truth and this label ever since. So happy to have snagged the 12" as well, makes it all even more special owning a physical copy of it ♡ ECCENTRIC VIBRATION
These five tracks tell a lucid story with tones and textures, AND nearly demand you move your body during each piece.
This EP calls between critical nodes of musical DNA that link together many of my favorite parts of the electronic scene.
Good for a party with that edgy energy, a firespin, or night drive! David Rees
