about
“Duck Hummus” continues Sully’s penchant for high-octane single releases, and offers fans insight into this next stage of his career. The track opens with a pitter-patter drum arrangement, accented a few moments later by a wonky introductory bassline. 20 seconds in, the collective beat picks up and builds like a progressive rock track. At the :45 mark, cascading drums orchestrate a hyped build into the drop. The drop itself sonically resembles his past work, coalescing wonky bass rhythms with a driving production pattern.
“Duck Hummus” is fit to move crowds and incite headbanging mobs, but in a time of social distancing, it will do in validating the hype behind this talented young producer.
"The name "Duck Hummus" started as a joke from a group of fans to describe bass music a few years back. That same group of fans always tried to convince me to name a song after the term over the years and I always declined. While I was on the Ascension Tour, I wrote this track on an off day before a show at the Orange Peel in Asheville and named it "Duck Hummus" as a joke. After playing it out live and listening to the song more, I realized that the sound design started to feel like the track title so I just rolled with it. Who doesn't love hummus anyway?" - Sully

I don't need the members of any community discarded and body othered as a bitch, thanks of the trees for helping me realize there's no point in bass music that I need to hear someone slip the word into my eardrum. cya. BeatsaNdBuds
I can't stop listening to this album. It's so good. So many different amazing songs. Yheti can turn such small amounts of time into massive complex journeys. Signals from above grew on me over time a great deal and I think that is always a special and mysterious thing. voidhaven
