about
Orlando-based producer Lucii has quickly established herself as a noteworthy figure in psychedelic bass. Following a striking acoustic rendering of her hard-hitting single “Neptune,” Lucii teams up with DirtySnatcha to deliver a wicked new cut, “I Need Your High” via WAKAAN Friday, November 22.
Only recently signed to Liquid Stranger’s label WAKAAN, it didn’t take long for Lucii to solidify her position as an integral member of psychedelic-bass music’s most influential label. A Billboard Dance “Artist to Watch” it comes as no surprise that everything Lucii touches turns to gold. While touring alongside Liquid Stranger in the fall of 2019, the electronic starlett honed in on her explosive live sets and conjured up a devoted fan-following. Known for her extraterrestrial sound design, spitfire drops, and welcoming personality, Lucii streamlines a slew of imaginative characteristics to materialize an artform that is unapologetically her own. Following the well-received release of “Neptune” and its subsequent acoustic translation which showcased her versatility as a musician, Lucii returns to her bass roots with “I Need Your High” in collaboration with DirtySnatcha. This thunderous, mainstage relic is balanced with charming transitions and trippy breakbeats. Watch this space.
"I Need Your High' is walking through the emotional process of falling in love. We've all been in love and know the highs and lows that coincide. In going through that, I felt like it was important to convey to people that they aren’t alone. It’s so emotional that it almost makes us feel insane and then we start to question things. It’s better to have loved and lost than not loved at all!” - Lucii

I don't need the members of any community discarded and body othered as a bitch, thanks of the trees for helping me realize there's no point in bass music that I need to hear someone slip the word into my eardrum. cya. BeatsaNdBuds

I can't stop listening to this album. It's so good. So many different amazing songs. Yheti can turn such small amounts of time into massive complex journeys. Signals from above grew on me over time a great deal and I think that is always a special and mysterious thing. voidhaven

These five tracks tell a lucid story with tones and textures, AND nearly demand you move your body during each piece.
This EP calls between critical nodes of musical DNA that link together many of my favorite parts of the electronic scene.
Good for a party with that edgy energy, a firespin, or night drive! David Rees
