about
Dirt Monkey and Sully have teamed up to unleash their massive single, “King Kong”. The combination of DM’s wonky style, mixed with Sully’s thunderous bass, has made for the perfect musical concoction to hit your speakers on March 1st, 2022. The track came into existence when they two met on the ASCENSION Tour, in support of the Wakaan label boss, Liquid Stranger.
Taking wobbles and wubs to the next level, “King Kong” is for sure to shake things up and claim it's rightful home in the world of bass music.
“Sully and I wrote this lil number on Liquid Stranger's tour in early 2020 right before the pandemic hit… we tried to make it as anthemic as possible, and it’s gotten a great crowd response every single time I’ve played it, so I’m very excited for it to be out!” - Dirt Monkey
"Pat (Dirt Monkey) is an absolute beast of a producer, a great friend, and has been an influence for me over the years. King Kong came together SO quick. I remember passing the laptop and headphones back and forth every half hour until it was knocked out one afternoon before we played a show in Baton Rouge. The next day, we wrapped up the song in Luzcid’s kitchen in Houston and got to play out the full product at the Ayva Center for one of my last stops of the tour.” - Sully

I don't need the members of any community discarded and body othered as a bitch, thanks of the trees for helping me realize there's no point in bass music that I need to hear someone slip the word into my eardrum. cya. BeatsaNdBuds
These five tracks tell a lucid story with tones and textures, AND nearly demand you move your body during each piece.
This EP calls between critical nodes of musical DNA that link together many of my favorite parts of the electronic scene.
Good for a party with that edgy energy, a firespin, or night drive! David Rees
I can't stop listening to this album. It's so good. So many different amazing songs. Yheti can turn such small amounts of time into massive complex journeys. Signals from above grew on me over time a great deal and I think that is always a special and mysterious thing. voidhaven
