about
Wakaan is to release the enchanting ‘Neptune’ from Lucii on March 15th. The Orlando hailing producer and DJ makes her debut on the label with this release, having been part of Liquid Stranger’s latest INFINITY tour. Lucii’s live show is nothing short of epic, and she has played out the spellbinding ‘Neptune’ every single night on tour.
It will captivate you on the first listen. Taking some heavier bass elements and mixing them up with searching lyrics and drifting vocals, Lucii shows off her otherworldly production style as well as songwriting prowess.
From its more rugged dubstep beats to the pattering electronic melodies that sound like they’ve come straight from another world, ‘Neptune’ is the perfect introduction to this burgeoning artist via Wakaan.
lyrics
"'Neptune' is about my personal struggle with feeling really alone. It was written to try and work myself out of a dark place. Many people battle with depression and don't know how to rid themselves of their demons. For me- the best way to cleanse myself is to write and because of my love for space - the idea that being left on a planet away from everyone seemed like a far enough distance away to get my point across. I think its important to acknowledge our dark side and allow ourselves and work through the pain in a healthy way” - Lucii

I don't need the members of any community discarded and body othered as a bitch, thanks of the trees for helping me realize there's no point in bass music that I need to hear someone slip the word into my eardrum. cya. BeatsaNdBuds
These five tracks tell a lucid story with tones and textures, AND nearly demand you move your body during each piece.
This EP calls between critical nodes of musical DNA that link together many of my favorite parts of the electronic scene.
Good for a party with that edgy energy, a firespin, or night drive! David Rees
omg, this is awesome! i have been a huge tipper fan a long time, albums like broken soul jamboree & forward escape are rare electronic masterpieces. i have listen to this more than 100 times and i can detect always more layers...so ful of details in the background...a class of it's own, music and production are not from this world! dub orange
