about
With low ends as deep as the subterranean, WAKAAN mainstay Sully delivers his most accomplished single to date, “Scuba.” Following his 2022 Encrypted and Hardwire EPs, along with his most recent collaboration with Hairitage, “Buckle Up,” Sully now zeroes in on his multifarious production approach. Easily hooking listeners with the introduction of a resounding submarine sonar, he seamlessly layers in submerged-sounding synthesizers, scarce vocal chops, and a driving bassline that automatically gets heads nodding.
Gearing up for big plans in 2023, Sully continues to bring his contagious energy to large-scale festivals nationwide, including but not limited to Global Dance Festival, Electric Zoo, Imagine Festival, WAKAAN Music Festival, Gem & Jam, Sol Fest, and more. Recently debuting a merchandise line of high quality ELEV808 soccer jerseys and DripDropLabs logo hoodies and reversible bucket hats, make sure to stay up to date with his headline performances and other information here!
Quote: “Scuba is one of the most simple yet effective tracks I’ve ever worked on. I had a travel day in Seattle and was staying with my friend Jesse for the afternoon. He had a copy of ableton and a very small sample library on his computer and I decided to make a track with the down time I had. It was a one of a kind creative state where everything I did was working - two hours later I had most of the track that you hear today laid down. Big shoutout to my buddy Jesse for driving me from Portland to Seattle that day - none of this would be possible otherwise.” - Sully

These five tracks tell a lucid story with tones and textures, AND nearly demand you move your body during each piece.
This EP calls between critical nodes of musical DNA that link together many of my favorite parts of the electronic scene.
Good for a party with that edgy energy, a firespin, or night drive! David Rees
I can't stop listening to this album. It's so good. So many different amazing songs. Yheti can turn such small amounts of time into massive complex journeys. Signals from above grew on me over time a great deal and I think that is always a special and mysterious thing. voidhaven
